The KXSS5 is a high-performance, low-power, digital tri-axis accelerometer with integrated freefall and high-g drop detection algorithms, either of which can flag a drop event. The accelerometer can use either I2C or SPI digital interfaces to communicate with the chip to trigger A\/D conversions, set thresholds or threshold delays, or manage power consumption. The KXSS5 is delivered in a 3 x 5 x 0.9 mm, 14-pin, LGA package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The KXSS5 offers a full-scale output range of ±3g and operates from 1.8 V to 3.6 V DC supply.Not Recommended for New Designs.
