Smart sensor solutions from the experts: At Sindex (September 5-7), Swiss sensor expert Baumer will be premiering its latest innovations. In the Swiss city of Bern (Hall 3.2, Booth B05) Baumer is going to present by its extensive toolbox of sensor solutions new intelligent solutions for each segment in factory and process automation.

Detecting, identifying and positioning: Again, Baumer has included new user-friendly solutions in its unrivalled broad portfolio for factory automation. Just one example: Code reading.The new IDC200 multicode reader makes it easier than ever before. The compact device is ready to use in just a few seconds: establish connection via USB-C cable, enter the IP address into the web interface and press Auto Setup. Code reading is this easy! New O330 series adds a particularly economical and powerful solution in a compact design to the Baumer portfolio of photoelectric proximity switches. The Baumer Toolbox of Sensor Solutions for the assembly technology is expanded by new, space-saving ultrasonic and inductive sensors. 

Fluid process monitoring: Innovative "Bubble Sensor" PAD20 allows for many resource-saving applications. It will detect even tiniest air and gas bubbles in fluids and output a signal as soon as the set limits for gas pockets are exceeded. This way, the sensor prevents energy waste in heating and cooling systems and protects pumps from running dry. For continuous level measurement without floater, the CombiLevel PLP70 sensor is the new, smart solution. The potentiometric sensor automatically adapts to many media – even process water.

Measurement, test and inspection: Baumer offers a wide range of sensors and cameras also for quality inspection. Among the exhibition highlights in Bern are the precision laser distance sensors OM20 and OM30 and the unique OX profile sensor series. These product innovations achieve a measurement accuracy of 1 micrometer. 

Speed and angle position feedback: One highlight of the extensive Baumer encoder portfolio is the next generation of bearingless encoders, the EB200E. Thanks to their extremely compact design, high resolution, IO-Link connectivity and many other smart functionalities, these encoders enable easy parameterization for individual applications (speed and angle position monitoring and feedback, etc.). The Baumer answer to harsh environments is new non-contact encoder EB360 in an extremely durable design.

Connected, networked and evaluating: In smart factory, networking devices are key. Baumer pioneering in technology offers one of the most comprehensive portfolios of IO-Link sensors, since smart production starts with the sensor. The Baumer Sensor Suite software is the ideal solution to fully exploit the potential of IO-Link devices: tests, parameterization, analysis – fast, free of charge and manufacturer-independent.
